*This is a great place to do some hiking and sightseeing or just get away from the hustle and bustle of Las Vegas. This is a great option for spring, summer, or fall, but it gets snowy in the winter. The temperature drops about 20+ degrees even in the summer months, beat the heat!
*The hike can get quite busy in the middle of the day in spring and fall, so I’d recommend going in the morning if possible.
*All ages can hike the trail, and dogs are welcome. Please keep in mind, though, the starting elevation for most of the hikes is 7,700ft, with inclines to about 1,100ft.
*I am not usually a fan of hiking alone, but being so popular, you aren’t really ever fully ‘alone’ on the trail. It is just strenuous enough to feel like a workout but not too long that you are wiped out afterward.
*There are restrooms located in the parking area, but that will be it.
Renting a car is recommended.
