*Make reservations. For most of the year, the park will reach capacity early and the park rangers
will stop all entry to the park.
*If you forget reservations or go on a whim, there are several spots on HWY 95 that have marked hiking trails, and still make for a wonderful hike.
*The Visitor Center and access to the park are open from 8 am to 4:30PM. The cost is $15 per car to enter.
*In the summer months, wear loose-fitting clothes and be prepared for the scorching sun.
*From October to February I suggest dressing in layers. If you are in the canyon after dark, it can get dangerously cold if you are not properly dressed.
*Always bring more water than you would normally drink.
Renting a car is recommended.
